The Earth Fairy

Some say that you can be only one:

A Sun  fairy, or a Moon fairy.
However, there is a tiny fairy who begs
 to differ.

Because on the Summer Solstice,
she felt as though she was both.
It was fantastic, wonderful,
and godlike.

She looked up at the Sun,
then at the Moon and noticed
that both are different objects,
but when separated spread
the Earth with light at different times of the  night and day.

The moon and the Sun and the Earth
 was not a
 Lunar Eclipse,
 but on the
Summer Solstice
it felt like it was almost one.

The fairy who experienced this fantastic and magical event,
is unknown to most of the fairies.
But for this particular day,
she wants the world to know,
that Earth is amazing.

That it has these precious moments
that make a fairy complete.

That even when you can't feel the sun and the moon,
and the Earth feels as if it is hovering in between,

You know you are safe.
 On Earth,
your home land,
because it protects
and guides you.

So in turn, you should do the same,
the Earth Fairy reminds you,

because if  the  Earth disappeared,
then the Sun and the Moon
would too.
