Freedom Fairy

She flies about in Freedom.
She lands on top of a flag.
Made of red, blue and white.
She lights up her wings,
and they make those colors shine more.
Of all the tales and legends of  fairies,
she is the legend of American Freedom.
She rides the Eagle across the sky day
and night.

No matter the heat,
no matter the weather,
she is always out.
The Lady Liberty Fairy.
She protects us,
even though we don't know it.
She is always there,
and moving so fast,
that we can only
see her in a blink
of an eye,
on The Fourth of July.
